Religion Is A Fucking Disease

Religion preys upon the young and naïve, the most vulnerable and lost. In its teachings are some truths, half-truths and utter fabrications laced with poison for the mind. It targets the lowest nature of humanity and its constituents are sent to infect the minds of others like a disease with the same falsehoods under the guise of salvation. They are taught to seek externally for truth, worship a jealous, spiteful being instead of turning inward. 

 

It is a crutch for those who cannot face their own mortality and the subsequent responsibility for their actions in this life. It is a veil of false hope that cheapens the value of life and teaches to distrust one's own perceptions with the threat of eternal damnation.

 

It is a prison of the mind where people are indoctrinated to fear and hate themselves and others, unable to think critically because they have been taught that it is sinful instead of an essential tool in our survival. They are taught to never question authority, but simply obey at all costs as that is what their deity wants of them. At its core, religion is a manipulative tool used by those in power to control and suppress their people. 

Throughout the history of human civilization, religion has been used to justify and glorify some of the greatest atrocities ever committed. From the Crusades to the Spanish inquisition, in the name of their false gods, humans have committed unconscionable acts of violence and torture.
